On September 6, 1854, Vincent Vincent, at the age of 34, left Liverpool, England aboard the fastest clipper ship of the time, the Dreadnought. Boarding with him was Mary Ann Cook whose family was very close to the Vincents back in Glastonbury, England. They were married on board the ship on Tuesday, September 26, 1854, arriving in New York on October 4, 1854. So began the history of our family in America.
